Quick Update – 02.24.09

Hey all! Weasel here, dropping by to give you a quick update on the happenings of the website, and other such things similar.

Speaking about website news itself, the Weasel Report has been around for about three and a half weeks now. During that time, we’ve posted 10 new entries for your viewing pleasure. Amazingly enough, just today we broke the 500 page view mark, which means over 500 of you have visited my website in the past three weeks! Thank you! On the flip side though, out of every single entry posted, we’ve had a total of 1 single, lone comment, and that was given by the wonderful ck67 from Sound Check with CK. Thank you very much for participating in my website, even if it was really only one comment, haha.

I would also like to thank ArenaNet for posting a link to my website whenever I happen to have an entry about their massively popular CORPG Guild Wars on their Twitter account. I’ll admit (if you somehow read this ANet) that lately, I haven’t been playing Guild Wars as much, but you better believe that I’m still glued to my screen, watching for updates on Guild Wars 2. Keep up the great work!

I had a contest for a free video game about a week ago, and as you noticed, this weekend I didn’t post a winner. Shocking as this may sound (or maybe not), we had ZERO people enter! No one wants a free video game? Really? I highly doubt that. I’ll be coming up with another contest of some sorts for the beginning of March, so check that out right away when I come up with it! If you guys would rather not win a free video game, you can always tell me that by e-mailing me. The Contact page has a lot of e-mail addresses that you can use to get in touch with me, so don’t hesitate!

There’s a handful of cool things coming up in the near future. Tomorrow, I’ll be posting an entry about a debate I will be participating in this evening on “Free To Play vs. Pay To Play MMOs”. It should be quite interesting, so keep your eyes open for that. In a week or two, I’ll also be posting a review on the new video game Killzone 2, which comes out on the 27th of February here. I’ve been quite excited for this game, so I’ll most definitely be reviewing it.

I’ve been throwing around the idea of adding an Events Calendar to my website. For those of you who live in Minnesota, you know that I love hanging out at massive events, and, as always, I’ll be going out to either the Minnesota State Fair or the Ren Fest, and I’d love for you to join me! If you think that’d be cool, just hit me up via e-mail and I’ll look into adding that to the website. Also, don’t forget to check out those other pages you see at the top of the site! You might find something interesting up there, or feel it in your heart to drop an e-mail with some info my way.

You know, I could keep rambling forever, but I’ve got a college class to head to tonight, and an entry for tomorrow to look into writing tonight. Busy busy around the Weasel Report studio. Also, are you an EVE Online player? We started up the Corporation called “The Report Syndicate”, and are looking for more members who are interested in joining us! I could go into EVE mumbo-jumbo on here, but I’ll just say join the chat channel “REPSN PUBLIC” for more info.
